Main Beach, near Keam’s Yard

The man from above constructed a small dwelling on top of a scaffold tower on the Horsebridge slipway on Whitstable beach. From this structure, he demonstrated, through written instructions, diagrams and impromptu lectures, his radical ideas for survival in the face of rising sea levels, advising passers-by on safety, security and survival – and how to embrace the dangers of flooding by ‘releasing all the water’.
