Deborah Levy is one of the most exciting voices in contemporary British fiction. She is the author of six novels, and a collection of short stories, and has been shortlisted for a number of national prizes.

The title for Whitstable Biennale 2018 has been taken from Levy’s Man Booker shortlisted novel Swimming Home. The book has been widely admired, described as ‘sharp as a wasp sting, witty and poignant, like an unsettling yet familiar dream’ by the Sunday Times, and ‘a beautiful, delicate book underpinned by a complexity that only reveals itself slowly to the reader’ by the Financial Times.

We are delighted that Deborah has written three new short works especially for Whitstable Biennale 2018.

Printed as a limited edition, the texts are available for festival visitors to pick up from Oxford Books.
