Saturday 9th June
12:00—14:00
Umbrella Community Centre

Meet in the garden of the Umbrella Centre Cafe.

The trio have developed a composition for Whitstable guided by fragments from a series of letters about an imaginary band described in Nathaniel Mackey’s ongoing experimental fiction project, From A Broken Bottle Traces Of Perfume Still Emanate.

The trio’s composition and Mackey’s writings will provide the starting point for the workshop on the theme of fictional music, experimental composition and performance. Join the trio to explore the material and working processes used in the composition, and work with the trio towards developing possible new ingredients for their composition to be performed on the 10th of June at The Street in Whitstable.

No formal musical experience required.

For ages 16+
