Collaborative Research Group is a new alternative education programme, a collaboration between University for the Creative Arts (UCA) and CRATE, a studio and project space in Margate. It brings together a group of six arts practitioners who are interested in collaborative working and the pluralities of contemporary visual art practice (including producing, curating, organising and writing). This programme is conceived as both alternative and complementary to postgraduate and research-based education. The six CRG artists are Áine Belton, Dom Elsner, Louisa Love, Alex Parry, Trish Scott and Charley Vines. CRG is co-ordinated by artist Toby Huddlestone.

10:00-18:00, The Public Zine Library – CRG are inviting visitors to contribute to an ongoing public zine that will be published on the last day of the Biennale
13:30-16:00 Tour Biennale
Where: meet outside HQ on the beach.
CRG invite visitors on a one-off curated journey around the Whitstable Biennale via a series of commissioned walks. Participants will join artist Anna Hart for a silent walk, gather food with professional forager Michael White, speculate on property with surveyor Mike Lilford and accompany artist Trish Scott as she “reads” a street.
Providing four distinct encounters with Whitstable, Tour Biennale is a choreographed exploration of the town that seeks to navigate the spaces between the Biennale’s official programme of works. Winding through the town and taking in a number of Biennale artworks the tour will start and finish at the The HQ. This event will finish with a BBQ on the beach. The event is free and open to all but places are limited so booking is essential.
