Leah Elsey and Sonia Uddin began working together after meeting at Central St Martin's College of Art in 2000. Their practice is inspired by political events and the spirit of resistance. Their art practice is inspired by experimentation, using diverse ways of working.

Uddin & Elsey have been commissioned to work with the Whitstable Biennale between 2010 - 1012. The starting point for their project is to investigate Whitstable's twin towns. They will be holding an event on Sunday 4 July at this year's Biennale to launch the project. Details to follow.
