Phil Coy, Façade, at London Festival of Architecture June 2012Façade, a film work by artist Phil Coy, co-commissioned by Whitstable Biennale and premiered at WB2010, will be shown at the London Festival of Architecture on 23 June 2012 at 14:30 and 17:00, at Grimshaw Architects in Clerkenwell. Façade constructs a journey through a topology of contemporary glass architecture. The film mixes tracking shots over the façades of buildings, with high definition architectural visualisations, Façade is a single screen work commissioned by Arts Council England through Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network, Whitstable Biennale and Futurecity, with co-support from the BFI National Archive, National Glass Centre, Miller Hare, Pilkington Group Ltd and Foggo Associates. Call for Proposals: DIY 9DIY is an opportunity for artists working in Live Art to conceive and run unusual training and professional development projects for other artists. We want to hear from you if have an idea for an exciting, innovative and idiosyncratic Live Art professional development project that offers something new and is geared to the eclectic and often unusual needs of artists whose practices are grounded in challenging and unconventional approaches, forms and concepts. We are planning to support eleven DIY projects that will take place between August and October 2012. Each project will receive £1,000 support. DIY projects may take any form, and can be loosely or rigorously focused on an idea or theme of your choosing. However, we also welcome proposals that specifically respond to one of the following themes. Five of the nine DIY projects will be selected according to these opportunities: 1. Live Art, oil sponsorship and the Arab Spring Please see the full Call for Proposals on for more information on these specific opportunities. DIY 9 is a Live Art Development Agency initiative developed in collaboration with Artsadmin (national), Colchester Arts Centre (South East), Fierce (West Midlands), Live at LICA (North West), PLATFORM (national), Whitstable Biennale (South East), The Works: Dance and Theatre Cornwall and Yorkshire Sculpture Park (Yorkshire).
